We are seeking a Senior GoLang Developer to contribute to a healthcare payment platform modernization project following US Banks acquisition of Solucro. The role involves decoupling a legacy PHP monolithic application into modern microservices architecture using GoLang. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cloud technologies, DevOps collaboration, and mentoring junior engineers while delivering secure and high-performing applications.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop, refactor, and modernize applications from legacy PHP to GoLang microservices
Work on payment devices and integrate with ERM systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
Develop clean, efficient, and testable code with strong unit/integration test coverage
Perform architecture design, peer code reviews, and pull request approvals
Integrate third-party APIs and ensure end-to-end service functionality
Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipeline
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product roadmap refinement
Ensure all code adheres to industry best practices, security guidelines, and compliance standards
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous process improvements
Ensure software performs well in both testing and live environments
Required Skills:
5+ years of backend development experience
Strong expertise in GoLang, with working experience in PHP and C#
Solid experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development
Experience with automated testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Linux, and AWS
Strong debugging, code quality, and refactoring skills
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex features
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERM systems integration (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
Exposure to HIPAA or healthcare compliance standards
Familiarity with Kubernetes or containerized deployments
Experience working in regulated or standards-compliant environments
